CONCERTO is an initiative launched by the European Commission in 2004 in order to respond in a proactive way to the current and future challenges in terms of sustainable management of energy needs at the European level. CONCERTO comprises 45 communities in 18 projects and aims at making an exemplary contribution to a holistic approach in energy saving, renewable energy as well as CO2 reduction The article is about the first knowledge gained through the projects focusing on district refurbishment.
